Education has been at the center of The Bushnell's mission since the performing arts center opened its doors in 1930. Educational activities have included everything from spelling bees and cooking classes to children's theater and lecture series with such visionaries as Eleanor Roosevelt and Helen Keller. Building on this foundation, in 1993, The Bushnell launched its most educational effort yet, PARTNERS.

Learn It Systems is an educational services company that provides research-based reading and math tutoring services to struggling students. Our programs are the result of partnerships with public and private school principals and public school district administrators to provide intensive reading and math instruction to students targeted by classroom teachers and district administration for intervention. The Learn It Systems program components consist of a custom-developed reading and mathematics curriculum, cultural enrichment materials, manipulatives, and specially developed assessments that are customized to each state's standardized assessment.

The Roberto Clemente League, Inc. of Greater Hartford was founded in 1996 by Juan Sanchez.  Since then the League’s committee members have worked hard to get as many boys and girls from ages 5 – 16 involved in a positive activity during the summer months.  The League focuses on providing a positive experience for the children that emphasizes self confidence and life skills within the context of team sport.  Each year we provided over 450 kids determination, confidence and a chance to prosper and stay off the streets by giving them a place of belonging while teaching them to play the game they love…Baseball!
